The Day of Obliteration is an event where the Malice becomes extremely dangerous.
When the Day of Obliteration strikes, it will not be felt initially. The day would progress like normal until the time hits approximately 12:30 - 13:30. By this point in time, all of the Malice will begin to evaporate into clouds. This process will complete by approximately 13:30 - 14:30. Malice (~5-10%) that has not been evaporated will seep into the ground, hidden from sight. While the darkest of clouds pass across the sky, the puddles and entities that lurk below the ground are feeding on the nutrients in the soil, or are hunting down living beings to prepare itself for The Uprbringing.
When the clock hits at 15:00, the outside will begin to transform into a nightmare for all organisms that have not taken shelter. Malice hiding in the soil will attempt to attack by grabbing on and dragging animals towards itself, once again preparing for The Upbringing. The darkened clouds also are not safe, as they will attempt to form tornadoes — larger ones will try to form hurricanes — to drag creatures into itself to gain size. Those who are on planes while near these clouds, tornadoes, and hurricanes, may suffer turbulence, power outages, and crashes, leaving them prone to the Malice hidden beneath the surface and the disasters caused by it. This stage will be the last chance for anyone to escape or take shelter. The safest choices are to hide in a bunker and wait, or to escape the planet by going into outer space.
By 20:00, the moment of opportunity to escape or hide has passed, and the Malice will attack in full-force. Clouds that were not sufficient to form tornadoes would collapse to the ground as rain with the occasional burst of lightning. Those who were left behind and not hidden in a bunker are subject to becoming food for the Malice. While Malice is normally incapable of enduring water, it becomes almost impossible for Malice to dissolve during this stage due to a transformation from a fluid substance into something that resembles tiny crystals. This renders hiding in bodies of water useless, as well as underwater ecosystems being destroyed. By 23:00, the bombarding will begin to stop as the tornadoes and hurricanes dissipate. This transition will complete by midnight.
The Malice will morph back into its fluid form over the course of one hour, but despite this change, it will still be hidden in the ground, leaving it prone to the rain dissolving it in some areas. If it does not dissolve, then it will seep deeper into the Earth over the course of several days to weeks, likely to be torn apart by underground water systems or by the pressure and heat of the Earth. The catastrophic final phase leaves behind a wasteland for the survivors which will probably need to get a source of replenishable food from before the Day of Obliteration in order to stay alive. Regardless, the Day of Obliteration would permanently change nearly every ecosystem.
