I had to hide my laptop in one of my coat pockets so that I wouldn't lose it. Normally, those pockets are used to store weapons, but I never used them for that purpose aside from the dagger from my hunting days.
They told me to drop off my dagger when I was cast for the game. They didn't want any accidents stemming from what was basically my lifeline up until that point.
My head is all fuzzy when I try to remember anything related to the game.
As I tried to think, a tornado swept me up into its grip-like gust.
It felt like it was unending. I was wondering two things at that time: everything that happened in my life leading up to this point, and when I was going to be set free.
I felt so scared. It was a long time since I last had fear appear in my life.
I was curled up into a ball, as the wind was making me lose control of myself.
By the time the tornado was finally over, I was in a place that was much different from the scenery I was used to.
The wind was less prevalent, and the weather was a bit nicer.
I got to see the sky. Oddly enough, it wasn't blue like I was used to. Instead, it was a pale white. It was a bit hard to spot the sun at first because of the pale white sky.
Down at my feet, I saw some pretty green grass. The blades were definitely quite large, unlike what I was used to.
The place reminded me of home in the spring. I remember the days I lived in a cabin. I was completely off-grid, far, far away from any society with my adoptive mother and father.
I was very isolated. The only people I had regular contact with back then were my closest friends, and even then, it was mostly on the Internet.
The times I met people in person were most often at school, and I wasn't very good at holding conversations with strangers.
Back then, I knew what I was going to be. I was going to be a hunter. However, everything in my life changed, and it was nice to be able to look back on it here.
I wandered through the grassy plains. I looked beyond hills and behind what few trees were spread throughout the area. Oddly enough, I didn't see any animal life.
I was getting quite hungry. My stomach was rumbling since the tornado stopped, and now I can't even properly hunt for food.
However, I was blessed with a miracle: an apple fell from one of the trees.
If I had to revise my survival strategy, I would probably eat some plants with fruit or vegetables when I find them.
With my hunger somewhat satisfied, I wandered a bit more.
I ended up finding an orange tree with a singular orange on the ground. After thoroughly analyzing if it was safe to consume, I ate it.
I was getting desperate. I knew that if I couldn't spot a more substantial food resource, I would be done for.
I was also very thirsty, and I needed to quench my thirst. Luckily enough, I spotted a lake that I could drink water from.
I thought I was truly alone, so I drank as much as I could to quench my thirst. After I felt satisfied, I took off my blue coat, black shoes, and blue socks, revealing my black, rubbery tanktop and my feet. Then, I went swimming. It felt so refreshing and cool on my body. Strangely, the water didn't freeze over as I was used to. I was expecting the water to turn to ice as I slid across.
What I didn't notice at first was that there was also a cabin next to the lake. One could only imagine my surprise when I did notice. I was so shocked that I just stared at the cabin for a minute without moving a muscle.
I stared and stared. However, it looked like nobody was there, so I continued swimming.
I swam around for a solid ten minutes. Bliss dominated over me, and it felt so good. Thank goodness that my pants and tanktop are waterproof.
I headed back to where I first got into the lake, and I was just about to put on my coat, socks, and shoes. However, they vanished while I was swimming.
A bit inconvenient, but at least I would probably know where they went.
Barefoot, I walked to the cabin where I believed my stuff to be. However, nothing could've prepared me for what lied aheae.
A man in a gray wizard costume opened the door and signalled for me to come in.
I looked around in that cabin. It was tiny, but it was cozy. In a corner lied a single bed. Thankfully, that bed had my stuff on it. I thanked him for keeping my stuff safe, and I was just about to leave. However, he suggested that I stay for a while. A bit weird, but I didn't really mind.
Also, I didn't feel like putting on my coat, socks, or shoes because I felt exhausted from swimming.
I leave this as a final note for this journal entry: I hope I'm safe and that I'll live.
